yes , if your sprayer trigger spring has any rust on it, it will react
try using our normal sprayer bottles, the spray head is new and wont make you this problem, or just buy the most simple triggers .
after using make sure to rinse well the trigger with water inside of it..
 
I gave it a try today..I didnt see any purple dripping off the car..couldnt tell on the paint cause the car is black..I also used Sonex on my wheels and had no color change. The car is garage kept and not drivin very often..I guess i didnt have any iron deposits to remove..but I felt better spraying the car down with ti to take care of any little bit there might be..I doubt I will use it on my car again as it seems I just dont drive it enough to get much iron in the paint..
 
Stunning product and once you are ontop of the contamination ie the Iron-x has removed it there soap version should help keep on top of it.

As for the trigger spring its recommended to remove the trigger from the bottle return the screw lid to the iron-X and rinse the trigger out.

As stated not so easy to see on dark colours unlike white that looks like its alive with the purple veins all over it.

What i love is it gets right behind the trims etc and removes the stuff you simply cant get into.

You need to do a panel at a time as you dont want it to dry on.
Rinse off with just water.

one thing though,. you can leave the ironx to dry if you want! but not under sunshine,
so there is no problem with drying too now,
there is no need to do it!!! like the other product you know ,ironx full effect is round 5~7 min dissolving , after that there is no point to let it dry but no problem too..
just not under sunshine!!
 
Does this stuff really effect the look and life of a car or is it snake oil?
 
I can tell you one thing about this product for sure. It smells like wolf D*** ! But I can also vouch for it turning purple on areas but let it sit and dwell for a bit it is not instant or at least was not when I used it. But defiantly appears to be doing something.

I can assure you it is not snake oil, i know it smell like a fish market but heck most medicine tastes vile but it cures....:laughing:

I think it smells more like sulfuric acid! :eek:

Definitely stinks. I almost took a big whiff of the bottle (I like the smells of most products) but as soon as I took the lid off it made my eyes water! Stuff works awesome though. Just don't breath it in!
 
Be sure to rinse moldings down well after. I did a Chev pick up and the stuff keep dripping out and streaking no damage to paint but just kept leaving a deep purple mark from all the deposits built up on molding edge.
 
Yes can keep coming back to wipe the runs from under side trims i had to do it a few times on a Daimler super 8...:laughing:

Bobby, thats what i try to say, the clay bar can only shave what above the surface , but the irons are melted inside the clearcoat , thats were ironx work and dissolve.
 
how much is needed to spray full-size car- truck- . is 500ml bottle enough or need the 1L
 
I sprayed my whole car minus the wheels..and I have maybe a tad under 1/4 bottle left from the 500ml..the sprayer on it I dont think is very good..if it had a better sprayer I think I would have used less.
 
would this be kind to say if ironx one time and then u take care of u vehicle regularly , better than an avg Joe, lol like all us here on ago with a clay 1-2 times a year that would not have to ironx every year? most of us would be applying this for very first time and all the years of crap on u vehicle now rid of . question is once a year application or not needed ?
 
The contamination varies from your location if you live close to a railway you will get a lot as the train runs over the rails you get constant iron particles been airborn.
As Avi says clay will only pull whats above the Lacquer like removing stubble with a razor only what stand proud but iron contamination can be in the lacquer or paint causing damage that the clay cannot remove.
Now you guys have some mighty big motors state side so cant comment on how much a bottle will do, however a mid sized car not doing the wheels will do 3 to 4 cars from my experience.
I would see the iron-x as a once a year use.
As stated the contamination can be worse or less just on your location what industry in your area wind patterns just so many variables.
 
I used Iron X for the first time over the weekend and was very pleased with the results. However I found that it was necessary to clay the vehicle afterwards to completely remove the rust blooms. Has any one else experienced that Iron X alone will not completely remove iron particles?
 
Just wondering if anyone has polished their car then applied iron x (maybe to iron prone areas) to see if there is any reaction. Might be a waste of product but it would be interesting to see.

Any white car owners out there try this?
