Hello all
I recently won some Reflect polish and Ironx lemon scent from one of the many generous AGO giveaways. :dblthumb2:
I thought I would try them out on my own car as I do an early Winter prep detail.
Here are most of the products used:

Tar-x, GG paint prep, CarPro Reflect, CarPro Ironx LS, Ironx Snow Soap and Angel Polish Baby Clay Glide. Also a CG "clay" Mitt, a sample of SwissVax Shield (donated to me by Kash:thankyousign: )
I did a pre-wash with the power washer, followed by some snow foam, then I did the wheels before the 2 bucket wash.

I used CG Diablo gel mix as my cleaner, with some Ironx soap in a bucket.
Time to test the new stuff!:xyxthumbs:

Looks good, packaging is a little more appealing than the regular.
The regular Iron-X is a notoriously stinky product ( stinks of rotten eggs), but very effective. I immediately wanted to see if this "newly scented" version was an improvement. I Unscrewed the top, took a sniff, and no, the answer is no. Instead of smelling like rotten eggs and chemical death, this smelled like 10 lbs of bloody raw beef that has been horribly over seasoned with herbs, and a little chemical death.
The sprayer head didn't seem to want to work, and after a minute or two, I asked myself-"Why?" My answer:

In the garbage, and out comes a trusty CG sprayer. Carry on...
Some bleeding

Here was something interesting. Amongst the usual purple trails, there was a trail of olive green slimy sludge.

Benefitted from some agitation:

Not as bad to "work with" as the original--when scrubbing and inhaling terrible obors:xyxthumbs:
Clay lube for the mitt Im the MAN

After claying

Time for the Reflect Polish

Side panel

Upper portion of same door

That shot shows how nice and glossy the curves looked, and flat surfaces got a mirrored look. Definitely brought out some shine!
Then some Swissvax Shield

Worked into the night, but here is a little beading, as it also started to rain after applying the first coat.:awman:
The next morning, after rain, and my dam sprinkler system!
Nice Reflections indeed

Some beading

Gave it a wipe down, second coat of Shield, and QD couple hours later.
Here it was a couple days later, going strong..

Sorry, not that many good finished shots, by then the wife was calling!
In conclusion, I think they are both good and effective products. I liked Reflect a lot. I used it with both a finish and polish pad. Took a little while to find the right amount of product and worked it effectively, but buffs to a great shine! I used it by hand, which isn't ideal, but can be done. Thought it had a nice "cut" for a finishing polish!
IronX will always be a great product, but will always stink ( no matter what you flavor it). So I would recommend it if you aren't already weirdly acclimated to the original or AF Iron out's classic stink. In its defense, it was not as offensive to scrub, and agitate as the original(not as stinky).
