Iron-X question???

Decontamination products like Iron-X are for iron particles , not bird bombs. :)

Snow foam isnt recommended for maintenance wash unless it has a coating or sealant, it will remove oil based waxes.

This is from their website

IronX Snow Soap will affect oil base waxes by approximately 50%.
Do not use as a mainenance wash unless you are decontaminating your vehicle or it has been protected with a durable sealant or a coating (such as Cquartz, or CQuartz UK).
Avoid using on fabric convertible tops.

You are correct... I kind of read through the lines since all of my vehicles are coated.

I was referring to AG's site. I did not go to CarPro. However I think CarPro's wording is a little vague. "...proper decontamination?" What do they consider proper decon?

Then further on they state, "Snow Soap is a perfect match for maintenance. Clean your car and remove iron particles at the same time!" I consider decon maintenance & would assume that using IXSS is accomplishing this. Just my opinion. I'm not mad that I bought it. Just stating my point of view on the matter.

I used a 1L bottle and screwed the foam lance right onto their bottle. Had the the lancer valve almost completely closed so it was throwing a very thick foam. But if you do that, you'll go through a whole liter in no time! That's what happened to me.

I would hope if it could remove iron particles it could take care of bird bombs!
 
tswitz the chemical reaction that removes iron particles does not react to bird bombs. It's not a soap or apc. Spray a car that has no iron contamination but dozens of bird bombs and it doesn't react ( turn purple ) but the water will soften the bird bomb.
 
Don't feel like searching but I have a question about Iron-X:

It does wonders on wheels but how does it not damage you calipers, hardware or rotors? Also, how about the wheel weights?

Really? The name of the product is Iron X Snow Soap! CarPro says, "Clean your car and remove iron particles at the same time!" I was not expecting the product to show chemical reaction to the bird droppings. The birds presented the opportunity for me to try the product and see how it decon'd the paint of iron filings.
