Dude...I hate to start a third thread on this subject, but just did the iron-x today to get rid of some pretty nasty iron/rust spots from a bad winter storm. This stuff took off spots and stuff that typically don't come off with clay for me! And took it off with zero elbow grease; just a little agitation after soaking. I am completely amazed and this will be a product I'll no longer be without.

Only question I kinda have is how far does this stuff go for you guys? I used almost the whole bottle today. I do have a full sized crew cab truck and did the wheels also, but yep, I used almost all of it. Not a big deal for me but just curious how far you guys are usually stretching a bottle?

What size bottle? I usually order the one liter bottles and they last me for a good while.

I have not have a chance to use this yet, how much is needed for proper coverage. I purchased the 1 liter and the spray bottle I was hoping to get a few vehicles from the 16 oz spray bottle.:buffing:

I use about 8oz for a full size car and about 10-12 for a full size truck and I'm very liberal with it... I buy it by the gallon!

I used about 3/4 of a bottle for my wife's car, a Toyota Yaris. But it had extreme amounts of particles and had to do a second round of it. Next time I'm getting the gallon, well worth the price of the product, saved me hours and hours of clay time.

Sent from my EVO using AG Online

I also have a full size Crew Cab pickup. I used almost the whole bottle myself. I thought the same thing, did I use too much? But considering all of the real estate that is on a crew cab, sides, hood, roof and I have a color match tonneau cover. I was alright with using almost the whole bottle.

buy the gel and spread it thin?

The gel does not work as well. I originally purchased the gel because it was sold to me as the more cost-effective option, which it is.

However, I find that I get far more "bleeding" with the spray. Plus, the gel takes 15-20 min to apply since you have to apply it like a wax.

I never tried Iron-x.
I'm sure you'd see some crazy bleeding on my 1996 GMC being I always just clayed it.
Maybethissummer I'll buy some and give it a go:)

Imot sure about that but because of cost I must use what I have first and then replace, although the gel is made for VERTICAL panels so maybe it isn't intended to run.
