Hello everyone. I just recently came into possession of a bottle of this soap. I've never tried it. I'm not great with dilution ratios, but the bottle says:

"Wash mitt/pre-wash/bucket: 1:8 dilution with water."

So, how do I prepare this solution? I'm a total idiot when it comes to dilution ratios. Thanks in advance for all replies. Also, has anyone tried this? How were the results? I'm planning on trying it on my new 2013 white Sentra that has what appears to be rail dust. Claying helped some, but not enough. This was a sample bottle I purchased.

these ratios are super easy..
if its 8:1 then there is a total of nine parts.. say you have 2 gallons.. that would be 256 oz.. divided by nine is 28.44 ounces. so 28 oz then the rest out of 2 gallons is water.

That would mean pretty much the whole bottle? I have a 16 oz bottle. Seems like a lot of soap solution for only 2 gallons of water! I may need to call CarPro on this. I had no idea it would take this much soap.

i have used iron X snow soap in the sample bottle which is 2 oz

i poured 1 oz into 2 gallon bucket and it foamed to the top

then u put the wash mitt in the bucket then pour a little bit of the soap bottle (not the bucket) on the mitt then wash a panel

repeat the previous step for each panel

and once u finish washing the soap in the bucket will turn black! because of iron dissolving from paint

c5errr, thanks. That helps out a lot! How did you like the results on your car? Did you manage to accomplish what you sought after? Did it help you?

Double check with Corey from Carpro but I believe you will have the most luck squirting the snow soap directly on your mitt and then washing.

Keep in mind snow soap is not as strong as regular Iron X for iron removal.

That's why I wanted to try this out first. I don't like to use strong products unless needed for fear of causing damage. My rule of thumb has always been to start with the least aggressive method.

I like to mix it into a pump sprayer from Lowes and spray the car that way, it hold 32 oz, so I just add 4 oz of soap and fill the rest with water. Its worked great for me. Any sprayer will work though.

Well
It defenetly cleaned well but what i noticed about this product is the smell its really bad
I mean i covered my nose while putting the 1oz in the bucket

And it does remove the wax and killed the beading
And i used it as preperation for Cquartz
Of course polished the paint then eraser

And it does remove the wax and killed the beading

It removes the beading, it does NOT remove the wax! It is filled with surfactants and these stick quite firmly to the wax. They are not easy to rinse away. They will give the appearance of no beading but it is very likely that the wax is perfectly ok, just covered by a surfactant film. Since you polished before applying your new LSP, there is no problem but anyone trying to apply straight over that surface will cause problems because the new LSP will not adhere properly to the layer of surfactant.

Thanks for the suggestion . Will try this as well. How long will the solution hold up in the bottle over time, or is this something I should dump out after I am done? -Ed

I usually mix up how much I think I'll use at a time. About 32 oz for an average size vehicle. That's including the wheels and door jambs. I've had left overs that seem to work fine on my next job. Usually a few days at the most. Distilled water may make it last longer than tap.

I have the same question? What do I dulite this to in a foam lance. The bottle say use two ways 1 way is to dulite 1:8 for wash bucket of use. I the 2nd way says foam lance no dutiting. So I plan to use this in my lance. Do I or do I not dulite it?

on Foam lancer without any dilution and closed the valve completely for minimum water dilution while spraying, this way its the most effective soap and iron removing.

IXSS will remove wax surface, it has alkaline cleaner base which will remove oily waxes, no polymers inside.

Can you clarify this? IXSS strait will strip wax? Is that correct?

How much soap should be be put in the canister on my lance?

Could you clarify this, Avi? Your website suggests that the product is pretty close to pH neutral and is quite clear that it is "Safe for waxes and LSP."

My experience above suggests that it can leave residues that hide the beading of some LSPs but I haven't seen IX or IXSS do much damage to an LSP unless it is already heavily compromised.

OK i see where is the confusion,
i mean when its undiluted , neat IXSS , its very strong solution it will affect oily waxes , diluted with water the pH will be about 7 and less to non affect waxes
when using it with foam lancer if you want thick "heavy" foam, you need the less possible water dilution, thats why we suggest to close completely the foam valve on the lancer.
the bottles we use can fit direct to the foam lancer you use, if its same as in the EU, i know its expansive solution compare to normal snow foams , but thats only because of the Iron remover active materials inside.
