Used it for the first time in my wheels. Tons or Iron and it really took everything off. It did take almost 300ml for these beasts. Make sure to charge enough if you do this for customers.

You shouldn't need anywhere near that much, even on severely neglected wheels. Spray a good solid coat and spread with a slightly damp sponge. I use less than 250 ml for an entire sedan, rims included.

You used way too much product and your wheels don't look all that big. On my 19s I use maybe 4-6 oz but that's cause I don't feel like scrubbing all that much which saves me time.

I have 5 20 inch wheels. I started with a little bit but they needed more.

Holy buckets, you are quite literally trigger happy with your sprayer. I do whole cars with 4-6 oz and 8-10 oz for an suv.

Yeah - I was trigger happy. First time but I'm sure I won't need to be that aggressive again.

It's all good, I was trigger happy with it at first as well. Same for Hydro2, Fabric and every coating I've tried so far. :)

1.) Don't dilute it by spraying it on wetted surfaces;
2.) Spray a little;
3.) Spread it around/Agitate

If not, then:

Now's the time to stock up:

I've seen it mentioned in many threads to use a "damp" sponge to spread the Iron X around, after spraying.

"Damp", with water or more Iron X?

Is this used on dirty wheels, or do you wash them first? If so, i assume they should be dried before Iron X it's applied?

What is the typical dwell time...can the product damage the wheels if left on to long? What about brake parts behind the wheels?

Will Iron X damage any manufacturer's OEM wheel coating, or remove any of the aftermarket paint or wheel coatings?

I don't have a ton of experience with it but no damage on my powder coated wheels. I scrubbed it after spraying and rinsed about 5-10 minutes after. No issues with brakes at all.

I used Iron-X today for the first time on my white traverse. I was amazed at how much built up iron deposits were on the paint. Overall the product did a great job. I did notice that there were some iron deposits, mainly on the lower half of the car that were left untouched. I'm going to try another treatment tomorrow.

My question is if the Iron-X doesnt remove all the deposits, what would be my next step? Now I havent clayed the car yet(I will do that in the morning after the 2nd treatment) so I'm hoping it will pull some more off.

Thanks,
Kevin
