IronX and IronX Clones - Fun Facts

About a million. :)

But just 3 for car stuff: The wheel cleaner one referenced above, dilution ratios, and the sealant testing one I haven't shared yet. Still getting that cleaned up and should share by this weekend.

The dilution ration spreadsheet is intentionally dense - I print it on one 8.5x11 page and tape it to my garage wall next to all my products. I use it all the time.

I just tried Sonax and get the feeling that it is allot weaker than Iron X. Not sure though cause none of these companies want to list the active ingredients and what percentage of the active ingredient is in their products......

About 70% of the ones I've looked at have an MSDS sheet which does list most ingredients. Almost all of the MSDSs have a percentage range for each ingredient. Given the range you can't always know which product has more of which ingredient. For example, IronX lists the iron remover active ingredient at 3-25%, so anybody's guess if it's closer to 3% or 25%.

The Sonax products and IronX are in my wheel cleaner spreadsheet if you want to see listed ingredient or a get a link to the MSDS.

Makes sense. Could be some additional ingredients meant to mask the smell for some products, but generally I would expect more stink from more concentration. (Example: Carpo has a lemon scented IronX.)
