I quit polishing the wifes car, waste of time. She washes it and I give her a bottle of spray detailer, whatever brand I don't care about and give her my oldest mf towels and say have at it.

Glad It's not just me!

It's probable that I'll be changing the oil myself from now on...

I was so disappointed that she allowed them to run it through "the wringer".

My wife details her own car. I think I detailed It one time before our first date and my freedom ended and that’s about it.

Never, NEVER let the wife see your detailing purchases. I thought this was common knowledge. Sponges and brushes are the least of my worries. An my get out of jail free card is that I keep her car looking great, so she couldn't complain too much about it. (Not that she would.)
