is a rotary a rotary?

I bought the Makita after looking at DeWalt (too heavy) and Hitachi (sold out at the time) I really like the machine and compared to my PC, it's much more quiet and easy to use.
 
I have both the Hitachi and Makita...both are work horses....never bogged them once...I use them for both Auto and wood working...I have used a HF rotary...not a bad beginners tool..but it does lack power...it will bog under a load...the speed varies when using it ..you can hear it ...

I use the Hitachi more for the auto's now..its very smooth....best tool I have gotten in awhile....and 5 years is great....
