Is Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance the best wax / sealant in the world?

Fk1000 is nice but durability wise collinite is a winner..

Do we think that Collinite 915 is more durable than fk1000p?

My experience with Collinite 476 and FK1000p is as follows: Collinite will initially bead tighter and the tight beading will last longer, but FK1000p will protect longer but the beading will not be as tight after about 3 months (but will still bead). In other words, after 6 months I'll still have some beading on the FK1000p (hood and roof) but barely any slickness and beading on the side panels with Collinite 476. I wash my car every 2 weeks, so these products may last longer on cars that are washed less frequently.

I'm wondering if anyone has feedback on the PA Carnauba.Specifically the Centurion for black

I just applied it last weekend, looks great but not as good as synergy. I haven't seen it in the sun yet either so IDK I'll try for some pics I just don't have an image hosting site yet to use.

The pre wax contour is mild abrasive

There are waxes out there that are well over $1,000 i hope they are better

Is it possible to clay, polish, then apply zaino show car polish, and top it off with Collinite 915? Would that be the correct sequence, zymol then protect that with collinite? I still have a good amount of zaino z2 show car polish left and wondering if I can top that with C915? Thanks very much.

Would that be the correct sequence
•IMO:
-Yes, it is possible; and the application
sequence of the products/steps is, most
likely, “The People’s Choice”.

-But, I must implore: to what avail?

Wait a minute...
How’d that zymol get in here? :)

Love #915 and #476, #845 doesn't compare

915 when including value probably is the best all around wax ever, IMO. When not taking probably car into account, it’s still up there in my tops, but I’d have to think deeper about where it ranks with other heavy hitters.

So 915 is better than 845?
•IMO:
-#845 is “better” if you like an LSP that
manifests Sealant-like characteristics;

-#915 is “better” if you like an LSP that
manifests Wax-like characteristics.

Bob,

Your knowledge is impressive to say the least and is probably an understatement.

For my continuing education, what are the characteristic differences between a sealant and wax?

From my limited use with Sonax PNS and Pinnacle Liguid Souveran, I noticed that the wax is much glossier and slicker compared to PNS, not saying anything negative about PNS either! The self cleaning ability is about even so far since i applied the wax 3-4 weeks ago and maybe starting to edge out PNS. I do know the durability/longevity of wax is no where near that of PNS.

What are the other differences between the two...from a 25k foot level!

:wow: That’s going to involve a lot Physics.

•With that in mind:
-I’m totally in favor of asking Luke to take
along a few instruments with him the next
time he goes up to that dizzying altitude.

Yes.

I wouldn't but you could.

Yes that would be the correct order.

Just to note, in the second sentence you used the word Zymol? My guess is you meant Zaino or Spell Correct took over.

Zaino Z2 is a VERY durable product. It's the product Meguiar's tested against when formulating NXT Tech Wax.

:)

Thanks all and thanks Mike for the info. Only real reason I"m asking is as I have some leftover Z2 and don't really want to waste it. Is there a specific reason not to put collinite over Z2 or just it's a waste of time/resources to do so due to the excellent durability of Z2? Thanks again.

Yes, Zymol was a typo.

Your assumption above is correct... there’s nothing wrong, maybe just time and resources, but given your situation and the amount of “wasted” activities I do to my own cars, I wouldn’t feel ashamed doing what you are asking about. :)

Haha, thanks very much all for the information.
