Its gelcoat- How do I avoid making these marks if I'm creating them?

The fibers of a wool pad cut the paint, or in this case the gel-coat. This is why you can't finish out hologram-free using a wool pad, neither a wool cutting pad or a wool polishing pad.


Switch over to a foam pad for your last machine polishing step. Then seal by machine.

If you can finish out hologram free using a wool pad, I'd drive to St Louis just to shake your hand (and catch a Cards game!)

I've seen ppl claim they can, but I find that very hard to believe
