Is it AG.NET's policy to not inform customers of backorders?

AG customer service rocks! If you ever ordered from Chemical Guys directly, their service sucks...try rip you off on shipping, charging you as much as it costs to ship from Europe, and don't ship you package 'till like a week later, even if they have all the items in stock...wonder what they do out there...
 
I placed my first AG.NET order Friday and didn't expect it to ship until Monday. But Monday passes, Tuesday passes and today I contact them to be told that some parts were out of stock and they were waiting on them to arrive (which they claim has happened).. and my order will ship today. (Supposedly)

Wouldn't it have been common courtesy to write or call and say "hey, we're waiting on stuff before we can ship your order"?

Granted it's just two days, but it would have been likely that my items would have gotten here before weeks end had they shipped Monday. Now it'll be early/mid next week and I'll have to skip out detailing this weekend because of it.

At any rate. A little quick email is all it would have taken to appease me. (and others in a similar situation).

Next time I need product I'll think twice about ordering and trusting that things are actually in stock.

Meghan is always on checking the forums and pm's. If you have a problem, tell someone about it and get it resolved. While everything is so hectic, just shoot meghan a pm that you made an order and it will be taken care of.

Ill never think twice about ordering anything from AG. I either get it on time, or get it late with more than I ordered. They work hard to run a good business that is actually personal with their customers and they work to keep my business.

As a forum member, that whole shoot a email thing... when you didn't get your tracking, maybe a flag should have gone off. You do have a "send" feature on your PM compose feature.
 
As Meghan stated on another thread, the move to their new location has created some issues, yet they're aware of the situation, and as always they're willing to make it right, and then some...can't ask for a better way to handle the situation...
 
On the backorder issue, I've noticed it more lately on AG. Im thinking, and this is just my .02, that because most of the time AG is the only ones that carry the product at a decent price, that EVERYONE is ordering it from AG. When EVERYONE orders it from the same place, there's a good chance that its tough to keep in stock. Im all good with the customer service and totally dig what AG has done for me. THANKS!
 
Well I got my package today a day early. Everything arrived safe.
