It's based on a Civic. And 26k for the entry level? :wow:
 
I think both the Acura's and Lexus lineups are way overpriced but it's amazing what some are willing to spend for a spot in the pecking order....I mean really, they're Honda's and Toyota's with a different body and interior...

The ILX is now Acuras cheapest entry. Having said that, 26k for an entry luxury car is not bad. I for one would not buy, because I think it's the ugly redheaded stepchild of the civic and a corolla. Thank god I got my tsx.

And no, sorry bobby, I respectfully disagree that all of acuras lineup is overpriced. That's the reason I got the tsx. Best value for money for a luxury car. What's the next competitor ... BMW at 35k?

Here is the deal with the Acura's and the Lexus's, if you don't know already. They are the luxury brands of said Honda and Toyota just as Cadillac is to GM and Infiniti to Nissan they come with higher quality accessories like having a Boss speakers vs AC Delco Etc.

My only gripe with Acura's are the nav screens/maps. They look so generic and outdate compared to other cars-even a Ford. Other than that I'm very happy with my Acura. Its a very dependable car, and from somone who used to be a grease monkey for Honda, they are VERY easy to work on. I've owned 3 Honda's now and I think I'll always own one.

As far as the ILX goes, its a nice introductory car and I'd get that over a civic. BUT...I saw one on the road and its eeehhh...alright. The pics look alot better but I'd have to really take a look at it to make a finaly judgement call.
 
If the G25 wasn't so outrageously priced, that's what I would go for if looking for a compact entry-level luxury brand... But they start at 33(ish) I think?

Seriously though, I've got my heart set on either a Yamaha FJR or a new Genesis 3.8 R-Spec..
