Having a hard time doing the 5-Step detailing all in one day due to cold weather in the morning and pretty warm weather in the aftrnoon. Only thing i could do is wait for sun to go down but then i only get like an hour or 2 of sunlight. Plus dont want to bother the neighbors at night.

Question. Would it be okay to do a little a day? So in the course of a week i would be done with car.

Example- Monday i UC the hood and front bumper
Tuesday i UC the sides and back bumper
Wednesday i polish whole car
Thursday i finish up and wax

P.S. Garage is not an option.

Only problem with that is you might accumulate dust on the panels in between days, you would have to make sure your work area is clean before polishing.

Perfectly okay and in fact I recommend only tackling a panel or two in my how-to books for weekend warriors and the seasoned members of our society.

As a seasoned member I did my Lincoln MKT in a day, all washed and clayed the day before. Used Megs D151 with green Uber pads on a GG da. By the time I got to the rear of the vehicle I could barely lift the polisher. Felt like I had to finish in one day to take advantage of the balmy 38 degree weather here in Michigan. Sucks getting old. Going to have to break it up in the future or start working out. I'll have to finish this beer first though. ;)

Get some ear plugs cuz HF DA is pretty loud...

Chachi, the trick when working 'small' is not to just compound one area, then the next then the next. But.... do that complete area, start to finish. If you're doing UC then UP then sealant, then do it all the way through. It's easy to finish the front (hood, fenders, bumper) in one day. So compound, polish, then seal it. Next day, next weekend, pick another area and finish it. That way you don't have your car just compounded and waiting on polish, or polished and waiting on sealant.:dblthumb2:
