Hey guys I recently went out on my own and began detailing Mobil. My prices are right at what every other pro detailer charges as I have the right tools and techniques to charge what I feel is right. I am very anal and thorough so my details take some time. Exterior taking anywhere from 2-3 hours and the same for the interior on an average car. What I have been running into is extra dirty cars.... just plane ol' nasty carpet, door panels, headliners, you name it. Is it to much to ask for extra money to perform what takes another 2 hours of work to get the carpet clean. I think not but would like some feedback. Thanks in advance guys and girls! check my website and tell me what you think as well. spotlessdetail.netFeed back please

It is a standard practice to have a "starting" or "beginning at" price and a disclaimer that extra filth will incur extra charges.
Don't hide it, make it plain and enforce it as needed.

That's kinda funny. Site works fine for me. I know pricing does'nt work yet cause im not done with that page. Anyone else having problems?

I never quote a price on phone or email. I explain to customers the service I offer and I do not treat any 2 cars a like. I would have to see the car in person before a price is set. Then I figure out in my head roughly how many hours x hourly charge (time, gas, products, ect)

You should absolutely charge for your time.

As for the site:
1 -There are WAY too many inline styles. When it comes time to make a simple change, it could take quite a while since you would have to edit all of those tags. Those all need to be placed in an external stylesheet.
2 - Fix the errors.
3 - The checkerboard background is fine, but I find it a bit annoying when scrolling. Try adding "fixed" to your background style of your body tag.
4 - The vast majority of internet users use the 1024x768 screen resolution. Therefore, I would recommend changing the width of your container from 800px to 960px. That will give you enough room to have some of your background showing as well as allow for vertical scrollbars without forcing a horizontal scrollbar.

Should you choose to address any of this, feel free to drop me a line if you need any help.
