They may know a thing or two about Sonax and the properties of 'color changing' wheel cleaners--well at least their parent company will. They are in fact the leaders in that category.

Yes sorry, I think you are correct that the importer would have the responsibility in that/this case. I think we are just getting a little mixed up with terms. When you said "distributors" I associated that with companies like Autogeek, etc., rather than the importer, who is likely the only actual distributor in this case. My apologies.

No bother at all... the great thing about AG is it is a discussion forum rather than the normal argument forums!

The lines get blurred on who is what. The 'shops' in the UK are increasingly also the direct importers. As before, it is a very dangerous route for small companies with no in-house chemical expertise. Certainly I know that I would be incredibly cautious about importing into Europe. I think many who do so are simply unaware. Even products coming from the US are often sold without the necessary info for the EU market.
