I have every menzerna compound and polish along with every Optimum compound and polish and also quite a few Meg. products as well, and just about all of the HD compounds and polishes. And dozens and dozens of pads from 1" to 8"

My question remains although I have all of this is the UHS system worth my time and money?

Yes, it's worth it if you want a great one step. With the UHS pad and compound you get some pretty good cut with great finish. It has less cut than FG400 but more than PF2500. The finish is on par with SF4000.

IMO no! I think you have great products as it is. I have narrowed my products of polishes down to 2. Menzerna FG400 and SF4500 (I prefer that over SF4000). The other brand is not carried by AGO and it is just as good or better than Menzerna.

I used to have several types of compound/polishes and they all did about the same. Some dusted more, some cut more/less, some were lousy. I narrowed it down to my favorite 2 as there was just too much clutter. My assumption UHS would be in the same category as any of the ones you mentioned (great too). The products you have are top notch no need for more clutter.

Again, that is me. Others may disagree but this was based on my experience. It appears you are in the same category I was in at one time.

If you do this professionally, then to some degree, it behooves you to try the UHS system, if for no other reason than to say you have tried it and can achieve comparable results with the other products you have.

I only do this part time and maybe it's just that most of my clients are from car clubs and spend at least a couple minutes on a detailing forum before contacting me, but I frequently get asked if I use product X....cause it's the best. I don't have enough cars or money to try everything, but I've tried many products and my response to that question is essentially what I've said above: I can't try everything, but I've tried a lot of products and found the ones that allow me to produce the best results I can; and I have plenty of examples of my work.

But what you really car about: The pads are super stiff, not the best for really concave panels. But the cut and finish is hard to match.

I really like the system, great one step on certain paints. It does leave a wax ready finish.but not a coating ready finish. I will say if you try it,buy a few extra pads as they do become saturated very quickly.

This is the advice i was exactly looking for. I appreciate it all. My decision is still up in the air. And Yes it would be for professional usage. I do this for a living.

if you dont mind me asking... do you have experience with the UHS system or are you just generalizing your statements based on the fact that his products are top notch ? just curious. tia.

personally I think Menzerna Power Finish or PF2500 is one of the best polishes I have ever used regarding ease of use and versatility. It also finish's REALLY well and haze free on soft paint when I use it with a polishing pad. It actually finish's out better for me on soft jet black paint with a green BnS polishing pad than Carpro Reflect with a Black BnS pad. I was shocked to be honest, i'm thinking the DAT was the culprit in that specific situation.
