Is there a list available that would tell me which car manufacture's apply a thin, thick, hard or soft ClearCoat?

Comes up all the time and here's the deal, even if you could create the definitive list, paint technology is always changing. That and cars get repainted.

1. Best thing to do is perfect doing a Test Spot
2. Practice using the least aggressive product to get the job done
3. Match your service to your customer
4. Get as much experience as you can and each time you work on a factory finish, remember the car and your experience. Heck I used to take notes for each car I buffed out when I was younger, now I just practice the first three things in this list.
