Is there a "How to" on circular polishers?

I plan on using my CP for some stubborn water damage. Using compound with my GG and a orange pad on speed 6 just isn't getting them out.

I would like to "see" a how to rather then read one as the movement and technique is easier understood.

Thats exactly where I was looking but I dont see a "how to video" for Rotary/circular. The Videos are mostly PC with a few cyclo and flex videos.

If anyone see's a rotary pls reply w/ the direct link.

We have shot a video on how to use a rotary buffer as part of a video on how to damp-sand but it's still in editing.

There are a few videos around on using a rotary buffer just do a YouTube search.

I made one back in 2006 that's 3.5 hours long but it was never released. It was probably the most comprehensive video I've ever been a part of but at this time it's out dated so it will never go into production.


We had a class here last weekend where we demonstrated how to sand and then use a rotary buffer to remove sanding marks and polish to a high gloss, these technique you would use whether you sanded or not...

Q- Should I hold the pad flat or keep it angled so as to have more control.

Polishing Principles DVD by Phillips, is basically a 1 on 1 instruction. I was hesitant to try buffing/polishing myself and thought it might be better left to a professional. The DVD does an excellent job of walking through the essentials, and leaving you feel confident in trying it yourself. Highly recommend spending the $10 +/-.

Thanks for the DVD tip.

One of the Utube videos showed the guy only using the edge of a wht foam pad. The comment was made that this allows better control as flat will get more traction and pull harder.

Makes sense to me but I have seen both in diff videos
