Is this a good deal?

Why would you buy that off of ebay? Trust the source and just go for a GG6 or PC...

:iagree:

There have been many folks disappointed with transactions through ebay/paypal........especially when the seller has a NO RETURN policy on items bought....just as this item is so listed.......Do you really want to take that chance?

As mentioned above, go with a trusted source. They have excellent return policies! :)

So to answer your question OP....IMO...NO!

Yessir! Buy a rotary polisher that you don't know how to use from an eBay seller with no return priviledge, no box and no warranty card. Yuppers, that's just brilliant :dblthumb2:.

Lol... We don't know if the OP knows how to use it or not so we can't speculate... But honestly if the seller on FleaBay only used the black pad that raises some concerns for me... Just don't do it...

I would rather spend a little extra from a good source, like Autogeek then to buy off of Ebay. While I have done hundred of transactions on Ebay, when it come to electronics, moving parts, etc - I want to buy from a NAME company.

If it's broke I'll just get paypal to reimburse my money. Paypal has the 1000 insurance ebay thing going on. Did I mention this polisher comes with 6 pads and backing plate?

So is anyone going to help me out as far as telling me weather or not this is a good deal? Or is everyone too overly concerned about autogeek making a buck on me? I'm just looking for some helpful advice from here, or I can always go off and find another forum with other products that will be willing to help a newbie out

For 162 atm its a good buy. The only thing I would be worried about is if this machine is a very tired and old.

Jeez,
:welcome:
You have gotten some advise you just don't like what it is. If you stick around for a while you will see why members here are very loyal to Autogeek.

The problem is it's used so who knows if it's a good deal. At 162.50 + 15 shipping you get a pretty good value but who knows what it will sell for because it's not a buy it now auction. The same thing here new is right at $300 free shipping. This kit FLEX L3403 VRG Lightweight Circular Polisher 5.5 inch Pad Kit, FLEX Rotary Polisher Kit, ceramic paint polish kit, 5.5 inch foam pads, Lake Country, has more stuff for the same $300 and free shipping. So use your own judgment as to what is a good deal. How much do you want to save and what are you willing to give up to save a few bucks, these are the questions you need to ask yourself.

Good luck to you.:props:

First of all "We" ARE trying to help you out... I know that I have been burned by Fleabay and PayPal on several occasions regarding electronics...

Second I don't care where you buy a machine from buy it from a hobo in your town just get a history on it! I rarely believe Fleabay postings as to the TRUE life of a machine... You don't have to buy it from AG...

Third of all the auction is exactly that and auction... If it were a "Buy it now" sale at that price I would say JUMP QUICK because of the fact it is a Flex and the pads dont personally matter much to me as I tend to use another companies (personal choice)...

Please understand that "we" did answer you not so much in a direct way of saying Yes or No but the majority of us here have been down kinda shady purchase paths and want to ward you away from a possible regret...

On a side note please read the fine print on the PayPal insurance to make sure it covers it because if I am not mistaken they will cover the purchase cost only not the s/h to or from and they may even take a fee out of the purchase price so it could be a loosing deal... And they don't work with "I bought it and it doesn't work" they require some sort of proof as a safe guard from people having buyers remorse cause they over spent on something...

"So to answer your question OP....IMO...NO!"

YIKES - If you want to know if it is a good deal search the store and find the flex, then find the pads and add all that up. The price is more then what the current price is on Ebay - then you have to ask yourself is the difference worth any headache you might occur?

Also, it takes WEEKS on Ebay to get your money back - trust me, I went through it already. You have to wait 10-14 days to open a case and then you have to wait another 7-14 days for them to investigate.

Lastly, when you ask for advice - you are going to get honest advice. This site as a WEALTH on knowledge...ITS YOUR CHOICE...

If you're not going to like the answer, don't ask the question. I've never bought from e-bay, so can't comment. I got my PCXP from Autogeek, and have been happy with it, but I'm not a pro.

Actually, it sounds like a good deal, BUT ... my experience has been, if I don't know who's selling it, and the history of it, I've got the short end. I like new, with a warrenty, but that's me.

While I've never bought much through EBay like most, I have bought a few things through the years. PayPal offers a pretty nice layer of protection in the event you fall prey to an unscrupulous dirt-bag..

  • Read the description THOROUGHLY
  • Be sure the the photo is of the ACTUAL ITEM
  • Does the photo, description, price, and condition reflect a good buy?
  • Look into the sellers feedback and reputation

Let's face it, a great deal is hard to pass up and if you can score a great machine with accessories for a decent price then isn't that worth something?

Before you buy also look at the actual savings over new.
