Got this damage on the hood of my Nissan Juke, is there anyway to repair or minimise the damage?

If it was your car what would you?

Thanks in advance

Dan

From the pics, it appears to be through the clear. Sorry

My dads car has a couple bad spots like that too. Part of why I don't feel bad washing my new car often.

Is this an instance where you could/should fill it with a wax to 'minimize' it?

That really deosnt look like bird etchings, rather a inferior repair.

I wouldn't use a wax. I would use something like BlackFire Crystal Seal or OptiSeal.

Ok i was told bird poo damage but dont have much of an idea.

Is there a way to make it look better?

3000 grit has no bite as well as 5000.Those are finishing disc to repair the intial sanding process and make buffing a breeze. If you look at the depth of those ridges, you would need more of a agressive paper grit to make a difference. That spot looks weak and spells trouble.although good info for a different circumstance or easier repair.

looks like the paint is comming off. I wouldn't mess with it untill it came off then I would look into Touch up Paint or body shop..

Personally I would just leave it and apply wax to it..
