Is this fixable?

During a hail storm I ended up putting a large shop mat on the hood of my car and in the morning I saw foggy looking spots of paint, kind of looks like sun faded clearcoat, but it never looked like this before.

I believe there was some type of fluid on bottom of the mat that caused this. But I wanted to know if there is something I can do to fix this.

First, since this is your first post,

Welcome to AutogeekOnline! :welcome:

Could be moisture in the very top surface of the clearcoat. We've seen this before.

Have you or can you move the car into the sun on a warm/hot day? (I don't know where you live?)

Besides that, if it's not warm or hot where you live you could try warming the paint up with a hair dry and see if this works.

IF it's not moisture in the clearcoat - then I would try either polishing or compounding.

You don't know what you can do until you try.

If it is some type of chemicall besides moisture/water, then your best bet will be to apply one of these,

One-step cleaner/wax
Polish
Compound

If the staining is only topical - you can probably remove it.

Meguiar's Ultimate Polish, Compound or their Cleaner/Wax can be found at just about any store and we carry it on the AG store.

All three can be applied by hand.
