For months I've had loading issues with this site. It's so slow it won't load up the page. Even sometimes with Tapatalk. Anyone else have this issue? It's terrible.

Yeah, definitely slower lately. With Tapatalk I have to let it load (the spinning circle thing) and make sure the screen doesn't go off. If I do that, I make it to the post I wanted after about 60secs. However, once I'm in, it seems to run smoothly.

Edit: just kidding. Tried bouncing around and some stuff won't even load. Wasn't sure I would get back here to edit this (all on Tapatalk)

On my PC it’s awful. Won’t even load up some days. I tried Chrome and it was bad on that too.

Yes. Took about 15 seconds to load this thread. Takes twice that or longer to refresh new posts.
 
No issues for me on a PC on multiple networks and a couple different PCs using Chrome. Pretty snappy really. I typically only use Tapatalk when I want to upload pictures to a post, so I can't speak to my performance there.
 
Almost always on Tapatalk for me.

The slowdown and even flat not working is off and on multiple times a day for me on a macBook and iPhone regardless of browser or TapaTalk
 
I'm almost always on Tapatalk, which is randomly slow, this thread took about 10-15 seconds to load, some take twice as long, which can feel like forever when it can sometimes load within 1-2 seconds. When it's slow it takes just as long when I switch over to web view, so I assume it's the AG site, and not Tapatalk.

I agree

It doesn’t seem to matter what tech I am on or what platform

When it’s slow it’s across the board

I firmly believe it’s a server/website issue

Normal browsing with a new PC. Guess the cookies have something to do with it on the old PC.
 
Yup. Slow on any computer I use at home or work, and equally slow on Safari on my phone.
 
It is wildly inconsistent. At times it functions normally and at other times I just click another tab to read something there while I wait for the swirly to stop. As during these slow times nothing else I'm doing or browsing exhibits this behavior I attribute it entirely to the server. This behavior is duplicated when I move from my desktop to my laptop as well. It's been like this for quite a while and I long ago resigned myself that it's just the way it is given the state of AGO and their benign neglect of the site (I'll take erratic performance over it being shut down).

Yup. In another thread someone pointed out the huge number of "guests" and whether that had something to do with it, nefarious or otherwise.

Seems quite unlikely. Most online forums have lots of guests and webcrawlers all the time as well, probably many more than this neglected site, and don't experience the same issue. I don't really care, like I said I'm more happy that the site continues to exist and just know to expect periodic spikes of non-responsiveness and know not to attempt to chase it down on my end.
 
In the last week it has started timing out when I try to go into threads, and it won't even go in through the web view option, and in the last day or so I've stopped getting notifications again. The occasional one still gets through, but most don't. This has happened before, and they did fix it, fingers crossed they do so again.

On the Samsung tablet and has been slow AF for weeks, Must be China taking control
 
As I've posted before it's intermittent but these past 2 days the site has been so unresponsive - on multiple different devices both wired and wireless - as to be unusable most of the time. I click and retry a few times then just sigh and come back a few hours later to see if it's improved. Just so happened that I'm about to place a new online order so wanted to research/read some past reviews and, of course, no joy.
