Is this worth the money? Who uses it??

Really? Wow then if true then I have just lowered my thoughts about CG. (Not that they were high in the first place.)

Try posting a very negative review, it'll be taken down....

I reason CG's website it's the "best" and its "amazing" so it must be worth it.

Aren't every single one of their repetitive products the best ever?
lol

I'd like to know the difference between even a Fuzion or Midnight Sun vs DP Maxwax or even Poorboys Nattys really.

I read the description of this CG wax before on their site and it had me laughing a little bit. I dont know if there is ANY wax worth that kind of money. But i wear glasses so maybe i'm missing out. I am VERY happy with my DP Max, Collinite 845 and Poorboys Nattys , blue, red and original. They all look great to me.

I don't trust CG reviews, they remove any bad reviews that are posted. (part of the reason I don't trust any of their products) Anyone ever heard of a CG wax being the choice of extremely high-end car owners? Not that I know of. There is SV Crystal Rock which costs about $1,500 or Zymol Royale which is $8,500. Then there is Gtechniq EXO which is $180 a can and adds more gloss and lasts longer. Or the wax used on the most expensive car ever sold at auction, Gtechniq C3 which is about $30 and is in a spray bottle.

I'm with this guy. My favorite wax so far is honestly Collinite 845 topped with DP Max Wax... Total cost for both, about $50 and i got 2 cans of max with it lol. Im the MAN

Some one on this forum spent that kind of money for that wax and I do not remember his name

I will never spend $1,000.00 for a wax unless they put gold nuggets in it.

Right! If anyone is willing to pay that much for a wax, they deserve disappointment, because clearly a lack of common sense hasn't given them enough.

I'm pretty sure I'll never know if this is any good unless I win the lottery. I use and like several CG products. V7 is awesome. I pay little or no attention to the reviews on the CG website though. They obviously do not allow anything other than 5 star comments. Either the stuff is the greatest or they simply whack a less than stellar review. The spelling and grammar is poor throughout too.

Autogeek, to their credit, does not appear to edit the comments. I panned the foam lug nut brush a few years ago (still don't like it) and it is still there today.

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of people who buy waxes like this are die-hard automotive enthusiast with a rather exquisite collection of everything automotive related.

You should see the gallon pump reviews. All 7 of them are like one stars lmao!

I too like "wax" but because I enjoy the whole process so much, I seem to apply a fresh coat of sealant every 3-4 weeks. For that reason and the fact that it looks so good on white paint, I've zeroed in on BFCS & WGDLS spray sealants. Oh did I mention that since it's so incredibly easy it is to apply, (maybe 10 minutes to do the whole car) that I simply cannot resist going around the vehicle on a regular basis. If you gave me a can of $1k wax, I would try & do the same thing so clearly it would be a waste for someone like me. Honestly from all the testing and head to head comparisons I've done, don't think I would get better results from any other "wax" at any price point. But as always, YMMV

I used to buy a wax to give away to my customers as a promotional thing to get my name out on a local basis. The formulator said a guy used to ship in cases of fancy metal 8 ounce tins with gold leaf to have filled with his grape scented carnauba paste. The formulator claimed that the fancy tins were featured in some high scale magazine as selling for over $500 per tin. It was supposedly some of the best wax available at any price.

I paid $10.80 for a 16 ounce tub of the exact same wax in a plastic tub with a quickly printed non UV coated Tuscarora Dave's label on it. The promotional gag I did was a long time ago and I never did sell it so I guess it's OK to mention it in this thread without being labeled a shill.

It probably was some of the best wax available because the formulator showed me 50 pound sacks of the cleanest grade Brazilian carnauba wax flakes that is commonly used in the finest waxes formulated.

If one feels better spending $1000 for a wax, more power to them. I think the willingness to spend that kind of money on a wax has little to do with the wax but more to do with financial "status". To each his own I say.

I personally wouldn't pay more than $50 for any carnauba wax.

...the CG website...

The spelling and grammar is poor throughout too.

^^^:iagree:^^^

I can't see myself ever spending this exorbitant amount of money on anybody's wax.
The hucksters of these obscenely-priced, and: Allegedly "high-end" wax products...are, to me:
Obscene as well.

I'll admit that some of Chemical Guy's "How-To's" are entertaining...
But I wouldn't spend that kind of money to even:
Try-out...any of these 'products' of theirs.

That is another reason I don't trust them. If their products are really as good as they hype them up to be, why do they have to post pictures and videos with half naked girls everywhere?

Because who doesn't like hot half naked girls?!? Lmao!

Some CG products are exceptional and priced fairly. Others have very poor performance.

I love my maxi suds and cgwng :xyxthumbs:

lol there's nothing wrong with the girls, just where they are used

Beautiful models are used in Ferrari debuts at car shows, does that mean the ferrari doesn't perform? I don't ever hear of anyone saying that if a Ferrari can perform, it shouldn't need the help of models advertising it...

It's just advertising at its best :) take every review (not only on the cg website) with a grain of salt, and sit back, relax, and enjoy looking at beautiful women :xyxthumbs:
