The FLEX FS-140 Flexible Shaft Set is the perfect extension to your FLEX PXE 80! This ingenious invention by FLEX gives your FLEX PXE 80 a flexible extension shaft, allowing you to extend its polishing power to any nook or cranny on your vehicle! Polishing behind door handles, between wheel spokes, between grille slats, in and around hood vents, and so many other areas is not a problem anymore! The FLEX FS-140 Flexible Shaft Set attaches to your FLEX PXE 80 using a quick-connect mechanism! Once attached, the FLEX FS-140 Flexible Shaft Set translates the circular motion along the flexible shaft to one of the many polishing heads included in the kit! This means you won't have to worry about being able to maneuver your polisher to polish the surface! Instead, you'll be able to polish any area where you could maneuver a pen! And the flexibility of the shaft means you will be able to reach into niche areas from pretty much any angle with ease! Just when you thought your FLEX PXE 80 couldn't get any better, the FLEX FS-140 Flexible Shaft Set is here to take it a step further!

When FLEX first released the PXE 80 polisher, many detailers were instantly impressed with the versatility it had, allowing them to polish areas they simply couldn't reach with other polishers! However, in their never-ending pursuit to provide detailers with the tools that won't limit a detailer's skills, FLEX created the FLEX FS-140 Flexible Shaft Set to make the already extremely versatile FLEX PXE 80 capable of polishing virtually ANYWHERE! The ingenious design of the FLEX FS-140 Flexible Shaft Set extends the polishing power of the FLEX PXE 80 to anywhere you could fit a pen!

The FLEX FS-140 Flexible Shaft Set uses the same quick-connect mechanism that the other FLEX PXE 80 heads use, making it a breeze to swap back and forth! You won't have to grab a different machine or spend time unnecessarily wrestling with a new backing plate or pad, just pop out the old head, and pop in the new one! No need to break your polishing flow!

There are an nearly unlimited number of uses for the FLEX FS-140 Flexible Shaft Set, but just to give you a few ideas of all the areas that will now be a breeze to polish, here are some ideas:

Behind door handles
Between grille slats
Around wheel spokes/rims
Inside hood vents
Between gaps in emblems
In door jamb crevices
The inside edge of your exhaust

Yes. $200 would be hard to swallow but I’d consider it. $300 is overboard in my opinion. Not blaming AGO as I’m glad they’re carrying it but Flex must not expect to sell very many at that price, which is going to become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I don’t understand what makes it so expensive. Must be made in Germany, if this came from China it would be under $100.

Not much equipment for $300 that's for sure. You think that you would get at least 50 pads..and maybe an extra battery lol

That little PXE 80 looks fantastic though.

Is Flex trying to get their R&D cost from AG members?

$300 for a flexible rotary shaft and 12 tiny foam pads??

It more than likely did come from chyna
I know for a fact flex started farming out their electric motors to chyna several yrs back

Pricey is not the word, unreasonable is the word. AG has the PXE80 kit with the polisher, 2 batteries, 3 heads for $399, that's only $100 more than the flexible shaft kit. It is not AGs fault, Flex's price is $299 for this tool but even though the tool is fantastic the price is way unreasonable for what you get. You get a flexible shaft and 12 expendable polishing pads. I really want the tool but the price makes me pause. It's not the money per se but what you are getting for $300 12 expendable polishing pads and a cable.

A bit outrageous but I am sure that someone will buy it, copy it, and make it cheaper.

Auto triz, Adam’s, SPTA and Maxshine have had these out for 1-4 years now that will hook up to most rotaries.

The Autotriz works with a Dremel too.

The bad thing about companies like Flex & Rupes, along with so many others anymore is they have strict policies on price restrictions. They mandate what their products will sell for and do not allow their vendors to discount their products.

Sounds like MAP, or Minimum Advertised Price. Something I learned about when "launching" my own product line. After selling to my second, then my third retail store, I kind of saw the importance of it.

Here's some more info on MAP

What Is A MAP Policy And Why Is It Important for Your Brand?
