I have a 04 GTO which is pretty much a garage queen. It is a 6 speed and has red interior. I bought it new off the showroom floor in 04. It has never seen snow or salt, always put up for the winter. It has a few go fast parts, suspension, big brake kit, few appearance mods, and has ran a best of 11.79 @ 124. I tune it with HP tuners pro.

I currently use zaino, but have decided to switch it up a bit (see my cart above) I wash with the 3 bucket method (one is for the wheels/ tires). I use 4 mits on the paint and one on the wheels/ tires. I blot dry with waffle weave microfiber towels. I don't know what else to say...lol.

Here are some pics of the GTO.

I daily drive a 96 Acura Integra GSR 4 door.

It no longer has window tint.

And my wife has a 03 Grand Am Gt 4 door

I plan to use the souveran on the GTO, and the wolfgang 3.0 on the Integra and the Grand Am. I might really live on the edge and put the 3.0 on the GTO and top it with the souveran.

Welcome to Autogeek Online!

Nice looking cars. I'm not a big fan of black wheels but I think the wheels on your GTO look good for the look of you car. Plus they have a very easy to clean design, something most people don't think about until after they discover how much work complicated wheel designs are to keep clean.

Very nice GTO

:)

Yes they are very easy to keep clean. They are the factory 05/06 18" gto wheels, and I had them powdercoated.

I had some TSW Thruxtons prior to these and they were a nightmare to keep clean. Even the stock 17" gto wheels are a pain.

Just personal prefernce, but I'm with Mike on the black wheels--just seem to
make a car look dirty(not yours). Think they would offer the contrast you need with black if they had a polished lip.

Great car, Slammin!

I'm with you on the wheels, I love black. I have ARE Mojave teflon coated 20's on my truck. The teflon is a PITA to maintain.

How's the powdercoat holding up? What do you use on them?

Welcome to the site it's the best.you'll find everything here :buffing::welcome:

The color is sterling black. It has a lot of metallic flake in it, but has the matt finish that I was going for. In direct sunlight you can kind of see it.

They have gotten a few small chips on them that I have touched up, other than that they hold up well. Very low maintenance.

Welcome indeed ... looks like a Pontiac man.

Gotta grab a G8 GXP as possible, I hear they are hard to find anymore now that GM has sweetened the pot with a huge discount.

Two of the best cars Pontiac has made in decades (GTO and G8) come at the end, and will be tough to find in the future. It's a shame Chevy won't duplicate the two and throw a different nameplate on 'em.

You'll have to see, they are only a Holden after all so if GM wanted to continue selling them in the US, it just has to produce them in left hand drive and rebadge them. They're manufactured by HSV (Holden Special Vehicles).

You see a lot over here seeing as they're made by our neighbors the Australians, but the ones here are right hand drive as that's the side we drive on.

I read in "Car and Driver" or "Road and Track" a few issues ago that their not going to do it. I certainly hope there is a change in thinking. Or maybe the magazine got it wrong, but they seem to stay on top of things pretty well.

Well I guess if you really wanted one you could import one from here or Aus.

Only problem is that it's RHD rather than LHD and I'm not exactly sure what the rules are about RHD cars in America.

That particular body shape Holden/ Pontiac is quite old now and no longer manufactured. It has been replaced with new body shape (released in 2006) but there are other HSV vehicles available that would easily meet any need for speed haha.

What a pity every country doesn't drive on the same side of the road.....then there would be few issues (apart from emissions laws and such) for driving cars from all around the world.

As for the matte black wheels, I'm not usually a fan of them but they really do suit this car well! Nice choice!

Welcome to the site. The GTO loooks awesome:dblthumb2:

Thanks guys. Future plans for the car include trying to get traction and a 10 second slip. I have the power to get there, just not the traction.
