I have been reading this forum for a while and gained a lot of knowledge.

I am a newbie in detailing. inspired by an occasion when i brought my S2000 for a detail before I sell it. it is the first detailing in my life that I witnessed how my car was transformed even by just a $140 detailing from some local detailers...

Stunned....

Also since a long time ago i watched my mechanic how his mexican helper painted and polished the cars and since then I got all the tools that I can imagine of. but I have no proper technique how to use them correctly. did a few detailing for my friends with the very limited experience. I ###### up some of their cars~~~ lol!!

And I came across this website and starting learning from ground zero again. bought Mike's book and it is great helped. even alot of concepts I figured it out myself before reading the book, but I still learn alot of tricks and some uncertainty had been answered before I even asked.

So here I am and hope to learn from you guys and I will post some pictures soon regarding my rides and friends' that I did detailed~

There's a wealth of knowledge here just for the asking.

Work on the basics developing your skills all the while gaining experience.

Basic steps in order are:

Make detailing enjoyable and practice. Take your time and do not become overwhelmed. Just because there are a thousand products doesn't mean you have to use them all. [FONT=&quot]

Welcome to AG and Bobby G broke it down about as simple as can be stated, the basic 5 steps are right there and just follow your budget and heart with what products to buy and you'll be good to go!
 
Welcome! Where you from in L.A.? I'm over in the South Bay area. You'll learn a lot on the AG.

warm welcoming! I live in Alhambra. I live in Torrance before. I think I am one of the very few chinese here~! lol. anyway, will be more active compare to when I joined the forum a year ago!
