This thing was unbelievably hammered with water etching, swirls, rids, buffer trails, and oxidation. I also decided to take off the spacer on my rupes 21 because the diameter was too small and it got stuck. Short story is I honestly hate the rupes without it. It does slow down and stop on almost every edge and corner. The backing plate also tore really bad and ripped one of my MF pads.. (Hope AG or Rupes can send me another backing plate) but anyways with all the trouble I ran into I still happened to knock this out in about 9 hours total

Steps:

rims/tires cleaned with MWC & iron x

under carriage cleaned with CG APC

foam cannon mixed with CG MS, dawn, and some apc

clayed with nanoskin mitt

taped off trim

m105 with adams MF pad

m205 with adams foam pad

additional wash with foam cannon and CG MS

ipa wipe down

collinite 845

tires dressed with CG VRP

windows cleaned with MWC

trim dressed with CG VRP

quick interior vacuum

before:

iron x

50/50

after:

rupes backing plate tore...

backing plate melting..

Nice job but man what did you do that that BP. I have never seen that before.

The MF pads I have seen that but never the BP.

Lol honestly I'm about to buy a flex too... Within a few weeks but thanks he was amazed!

Very nice work. That car was hammered and you put shine back in its life.

Lol honestly I'm about to buy a flex too...

If you do decide to purchase the Flex, the best performing pads are the Hybrids. They are not necessary at first but if you do decide on pads for the machine look no further.

Looks great. What were you doing when the backing plate ripped?
