That cuz it was supposed to take place on a used car lot.

Was filmed about a mile from my house at a closed Phillip Morris plant and a legit used car lot. It was all staged but the sales guy was in the dark on the whole thing. Pretty good rise out of that guy.

Now THATS funny! (Staged or not... reminds me of how I drive!)

FWIW, When I test drove my G, we pulled out of the dealership down into a deadend cul-de-sac (industral park type of thing). I told the sales girl I wanted to test the brakes, so I took off and locked um' up. Did it a 2nd, then a 3rd time. OK.... feels pretty good. So.... wonder how much power it has? Revved it up and dumped the clutch, vvvvrorrrommmmmmmm..... thump! NOTHING!!! Seems with VDC/Traction control is on it likes to behave itself. I was thinking this is seriously going sideways. Then I saw the VDC button down by my left knee, asked her if I could try that again because if it's that bad I don't want it.

So she says "sure", not seeing I'd disengaged that god awful thing! ;) This time I double pumped the clutch and did a 540 smoke everywhere, flew back up the street towards the dealership, snatched 2nd then preceeded to drive around with her for another 25 minutes or so. Long story short.... tried to buy the car that day, cash money. They wouldn't work with me so I went home and found one in Greenville SC. Next day (Saturday) the owner of the dealership calls, it's about closing time. He asks what he needs to do to sell me the car (as they always do). Told him, cash money I'll take the car but I'm not playing any games. List was 41, they wanted 39 and I wasn't going a dime over 36 (plus tax of course). In fact, I already had the purchase order in my hand, about to fax it back, for the other one. He said if I'd come, no.... if I would PLEASE come, he would keep the place open as long as it took and sell it to me for what I offered. :D They closed NORMALLY at 7:00, we got there at 7:30 and didn't leave till 10:00!!! (Who knows.... he might have seen the burnout!)

Not cool at all! :(

What part? ;)
Im the MAN
  • The Burnout?
  • Not telling the sales girl about the burnout?
  • Them not wanting to sell me the car (that day)?
  • OR... me going home and finding another one?
Heheheeee.... Sure was fun however! And... it all worked out. ;)
