I just think that everyone is saying there product cuts like medium polish and finishes down to an ultra fine. With diminishing products they can kinda claim that and the definitions get really muddled

At the very least almost every manufacturer claims thier finishing polish finishes down to an ultrafine showcar finish.

They get saturated with product, heat up, and stop doing their job. (That is, cutting or abrading the paint in conjunction with the product).

Heat is also a pad killer.

I have posted this before, but I will use up to 20 pads doing my truck. Overkill?

Probably, but my pads always cut fresh, and are a breeze to clean afterward.
