This is my 2006 MINI Cooper S JCW GP, which wears #1650. It's not a daily driver, but it's not a garage queen, and I live 1.5 miles off the nearest concrete road. There are some chips in the front end that prove she's not a garage queen. She's seen track time, rally time, autocross, plus pleasure motoring which includes taking me to feed my addiction to late night food trucks. Since this is one of 2000 built, only 415 came to the USA so it gets special treatment and it's basically only been modded very lightly for track perfromance with slotted rotors and mid grade Carbotech brake pads.

What you see here is the results of a two day detailing job I did. First it was washed down with Dodo Juice Born to Mild Soap, using a two bucket set up with grid guards, and a DJ Yeti Fist mitt. Dryed with microfibre. Then it was clayed using Zotwave Clay Bar and Zotwave Gloss Wave for lube and more microfiber to polish. On the Thunder Blue areas I hand applied five coats of Dodo Juice Blue Velvet Pro using a Supernatural Finger Mitt. On the roof I used Diamond White for the first four coats, then topped it up with Light Fantastic for two coats. Final hand polishing was done with SuperNatural Buffing Towels...which are so nice...AGO needs to stock them! Glass is done with Diamondite Perfect Vision Glass Cleaner. Rims where cleaned with Detailer’s Pro Series Wheel Cleaner then topped with Detailer's Pro Wheel glaze which is a great combo to get and keep your rims clean. Tires were detailed using Zotwave Super Shine Tire and Trim Gel which I like for it's durability and appearance, not a super wet look, more of a matte glow.

Nice GP man.
I like how the Mini drive and handle, but man their engine is known to have some serious carbon deposit.
My girl have a 2010 Cooper with 33k miles atm, her carbon problem came upon around 15k miles, and still been having issues with rough idling and what not.

The carbon issue you refer to EvolutionDetail is a problem for the second Gen 2 motors which are 2007 and one up to now. The GP and the MINI Cooper S we have are both Gen 1 motors and don't suffer that issue. Gen 2 are turboed, Gen 1 are supercharged.

But the Mini i am talking about, is not Turbo'ed or Super'ed.
Just the Normal engine with no add ons.

So does mine still fall into the carbon problem category?

Yes sir it does. They changed the induction/fuel delivery system. Find some place to do that walnut shell treatment on it, and you're all set to go motoring along. Shouldn't be over 400 at the high side. Hook up with you local MINI club, they'll set you right up I bet! MINI dealers can do this also.

Damn!

Thats the best looking mini I've ever seen :xyxthumbs:

Nice dodo stickers. Great looking mini
