Just a simple old Ford truck....


Was at the local Stuart Tuesday night car show last night. I try to go to this show every Tuesday night as Autogeek is a sponsor and I like to check out the car and talk shop with all the local car guys....

There's always lots of nice rides at this show and never enough time to take pictures of all of them and then post them to our forum but here's two....

First up was this old Ford truck. Looks like it was driven to the show right from the farm... it's 100% bone stock....

Love the fender mounted turn signals, my guess is these were something you would have ordered from JC Whitney back in the 1960's....

Now that's when pickup trucks were pickup trucks. In those days there was only room for the driver and his helper and not whole families. No leather interior or sunroofs. Just plain old fashion work trucks.
 
Ah, JC Whitney, or as my friend used to call it "JC Witless"...ah...memories...
 
I sat down with my dad the other day as he went thru a list of the vehicles that he has had. On that list were two Chevrolet pickups. A 53 and a 54....I proceeded to thank him for not having them now.
