Just bought a Flex

I finally received my product for this project. I did a quick test section (it's 107F in Phoenix, not fun for working on entire car).

I clayed the hood, taped off a section and ran the Flex over it with a white pad and Klasse AIO a couple of times on speed 2. The product was drying out after two passes, I am guess this is just due to the heat? Or maybe it's due to the pad tearing through the oxidization? I'll try again when it's under 100 heh.

The pad is bright red (color of car) is this normal? Same with the microfiber I wiped the product off with.
I attempted to clean the pad with my compressor and an air gun but it wasn't too successful. I'll have to do some more searching on how to clean the pads. Any help here would be great.

See attached pics (sorry not great) to see very quick test sections, amazing already.

dougaross, yes, definitely single stage paint. I assume that much red on the pad is okay with single stage paint?

I searched but couldn't find any info on cleaning pads with a compressor and air gun. Does not seem to be working for me at all.

Be careful. The 3401's forced rotation can eat through paint fast. Do you have a paint thickness gauge? Especially on the raised parts or creases of the paint.

HI,
Just received my new 3401 Flex and anxious to try if temperature permits. I want to use the tool to apply Collinite wax #845. Should I remove it with a microfiber bonnet?
Thanks and regards.
