Just for curiosity

Mobil 1 5w40 on in my truck since new. 63k miles zero issues 5,000 OCI

Rotella T6 5w40.

Of all the name brands, including the expensive Red Line, the turbo boxer seems to operate smoothest with it.

I ran rotella T6 in my subaru with great results

Ran mobil1 for 12k in my camaro. Changed it to AMSOIL

I will never run anything else in any vehicle I own. I've been changing my oil on my motorcycles and cars/trucks all my life. Never observed such a drastic improvement.

I immediately noticed improved revving, reduced oil consumption, improved mileage, motor just seems properly lubricated COMPLETELY.

I can't recommend it enough AMSOIL AMSOIL AMSOIL

Great oil AMSOIL is. No argument there. Can't convince myself the cost of AMSOIL is worth it over say Mobil 1 Extended Performance or Pennzoil Ultra Platinum when changing oil every 7 to 10k miles yearly.

Mobil 1 or Castrol 0W-30.

Not to divert but can anyone recommend a favorite vendor for analysis? I have heard Blackstone is decent.

Black stone captaincy one of the largest...

Bitog forum a good reference...

Personally I just get it done through work..

Been using Mobile 1 synthetic for a long time now. If it was good enough for the Corvette, then it's good enough for me. Before that, I used Valvoline...still do in older vehicles...since that's what I started using in them...and it still serves me well...I believe the NAPA brand comes from the same place if I'm not mistaken.

That said, I've heard a lot of good reports about Amsoil and Royal Purple. I hear some earth moving companies use Royal Purple in their heavy equipment.

While the vehicle is "stock"...I go by:
-What's on the oil fill cap
-What's in the owner's manual

Once it's been "modified":
-It all "boils down to" the chemistry
restrictions that are associated with
API's licensing for high performance
engine oils.

Mobil 1 Synthetic here in my 3.8L Genesis since day 1.

Used to use Royal Purple in the old 2.0T Genesis.
