I just got my 1 gal ONR and noticed that it wasn't filled all the way to the top and no protective seal. Please see comparison pick against ONR that I've been using for the last 4 months. Is this normal??
Some suppliers are using a bigger bottle to help with expansion and freezing...so it may look like less but is the same..just measure it with a measuring cup....I know ## 's is using a bigger bottle to prevent expansion and loss of product due to expansion
Yeah I think it's normal. I had the same question when I bought a gallon of the car wash last month. Check the picture on the product page it looks the same.
A while back some of the suppliers where having bottles leak during shipping be it from expansion during the heat or freezing...the older bottles were filled just below the cap...now they went to a larger bottle to allow for this....
I too seen a few bottles that looked low..but after asking i found the reason why they looked low...best to measure it to feel better...lol
Ok - thank you so much for the replies! I would have thought that manufacture would have sealed the container. Only "seal" was the one put on by PBMA/Autogeek.
Just to clarify the bottle on the left is new and the bottle on right is old.
SBKIM, I had a situation in January with a smaller bottle.
Seems UPS was a little rough with my box, and the ONR leaked.
AG promptly replace it for me.
If someone is concerned about getting short changed, pour it into something to measure it. If you do not get a gallon, etc. complain. It is likely just quality control but you should always get the minimum stated on the bottle. That is, they should be overfilling not underfilling.
