now that it's all done, i think i may want to send the radio cover and the center console part back again. The silver really does stick out now. I'm thinking about having them paint it a dark grey to match the rest of the interior. thoughts?

excuse the smudging ;)

cool interior:applause:

what about the handle to the open the doors?

Looks good. It would look even better IMO if you could continue the paint down the "hump" in the middle of the dashboard.

My daughter has the same car. what dressing do you use on the dash and door panels.I have tried a couple dressings and i can't find one that works with a Toyota interior.

Whats that on the bottom of the drivers door......scuffs?? or film smudge, if it is scuffs?? what's a good product to remove ?? they really are a pain to get rid of completely

Nice paint........the color really pops....:righton:

as for continuing the paint.. painting the rest of the hump would involve taking out the entire dash piece. The part that got painted is only held on by a couple of clips, so it was easily removed and then brought to the paint booth.

in that picture, there is a month old application of 303 aerospace. Today though, meghan gave me some DP interior surface protectant and i used that on the whole dash, door panels, and rear seat panels. i love that stuff :P and it smells so good! i use a MF to apply and go over each section a couple of times to make sure the product completely covered the textured plastic.

the marks are shoe scuffs that i was too lazy to get rid of. magic eraser is what i've heard that works wonders with the scuffs

neothin,Do you know what the dash is made of. To me it kinda feels like a coated rubber. I've used PBs NL,Megs Dash & trim and there was no change in its apperance. Will the 303 leave a satin sheen behind,if so i'm gonna have to try it. Also have you ever used megs 40?

it's textured plastic IIRC. yes i have used meg's #40 on it and then topped it w/ 303.

you can definitely tell the difference between unprotected dash and dash that has had 303 put on it. the 303 darkens it significantly. maybe try out the DP ISP. smells a heck of a lot better than 303 and works just as well and leaves the same light sheen look.
