Looks good. You ever had issues with your tranny? Sisters 1st car was a TL-Type S when they came out, think 01'? Had so much trouble with the tranny. I remember buying her the intake and exhaust from CompTec.

Haha, ya man, I'm on my second one, covered under warranty of course. this car truly is awesome, but these 2nd gen TLs are plagued with HORRIBLE transmissions. some guys on the acura forums are on their 5th ones, all covered under warranty.

Your sister was lucky, the type-s is pretty quick, and hot looking. ftr, it was 02 for the type-s, when the body was enhanced a little and the front facia given a face lift.

i want to get a front lip also for mine, but my car is too low for a lip kit, it'll scrape like crazy

yea, i thought that too at first, but there is a factory lip that comes off and the aftermarket takes the place of it. so it wasnt too low.

I like the lip ... dont really fancy the engine size badging however.

It is what it is. I don't mind this so much when it's done brand wide, but Acura's abrupt and half hearted implementation was a little annoying. I think they dropped it around 2003/4 for the more consistent 2 & 3 letter designations.

thank you, because i just did this the other day and was toying with the idea of whether i liked it or not. im just going to snip the 3.2 off and keep the TL there. do you just dislike the emblem in the grill alltogether?

I think the front badge, with 3.2 just goes against the flow of the new front. The deeper grill and blacked out matches the flow better. Its like all the new badges on new cars where there bigger than ever. Sure you can see them while in a plane ... but whats the point.

As a test, take some black plumbers tape and cover badge before removing. I think you will like it more also. But its your ride ... now you need some wheels.

correction, i need some KILLR wheels... lame, i know.

good call about the taping though. i know i like the look of something being offset up there, but youre def. right about the 3.2 part, i think just the "TL", would be nice and subtle, even if i have to paint it black.
