I just got tired of switching back and forth in the driveway when I didn't need the pressure washer for what I was doing so I did the split and it works great. Should have done this long ago.
Well there were just times when I needed to fill a bucket or clean a pad or believe it or not just fill a watering can to water the flowers and I didn't want to have 2 long hoses running from inside my garage. You see I live in a townhouse and don't have a spigot outside so I would have to go inside and shut the water off and disconnect the hose etc. Became a pain. I was in Wally World last week and was in the garden dept. and was standing there and it hit me. Get a short section of hose and put the "Y" at the PW. Works like a charm. Glad you guys like the idea. It really wasn't rocket science now that I look back I fell pretty stupid all these years. Hey guys remember one thing. We are all in this together.
I have the "Y" on my outside spigot. Fortunately my spigot is right on the garage wall with the doors. It's in between my 2 doors. From the Y I have a 10 foot hose that goes to the PW. From that I can move the PW enough along with the PW hose/gun/foam lance and have enough length to go around the whole car easily. The 2nd output of the Y goes to your standard 50 foot hose real and garden nozzle. It works well. But I like the Y on the PW itself idea.
neat idea lol. I have a QD that I use. it self seals, so when I'm changing hoses, i don't have to shut the water off. plus I have a very stiff construction grade hose and it doesn't flex much. not very friend for washing cars lol. I usually just swap to fill my buckets and that's it.
