What supplies can I go get at my nearest home depot to do this?

Thank you!

As above, & try to get a medium size container of the original ElbowGrease. Some of the newer substitutes are not as good as the older version of EG. The older formula was more dependable. :props: Oh & some older microfiber clothes or very soft toweling will help also.

If you have it on hand, try an aeresol foaming glass cleaner and some steel wool.

quad zero steel wool and a good metal polish ...

Never-Dull..thrn mothers chrome polish and #0000 steel wool.

On my car I use my fingers to take remove tar or whatever is stuck on there then I use a mothers power ball with mothers metal polish. I have a legacy gt with dual exhaust, it's a lot if exhaust to cover but the ball and my cordless drill make it go fast.

I used to go the way that lgtftw did it until i picked up some 0000 steel wool. That pulls everything off of the exhaust so quickly. All the gunk, tar, rust, etc comes off in a couple of passes and you can go from a completely grimy tip (worse than the one above) to a mirror like finish in under 5 minutes. 0000 steel wool is the best thing since sliced bread IMO.

I dont know how well this would work in your case.

But I use this of my magnaflow tips.

I bought it to clean my bbq grill but decided to try it on my tips and it worked pretty well.

I will definitely get this next time I'm at home depot! It sounds like it would work
