WOOHOOOO!! finally pulled the trigger and got my Flex 3401 Wolfgang kit. Cant wait to get away from everything by hand and start doing it with a machine. Got a few extra's with it. Purchased the pad brush, the swirl light and a Guzzler! Worked with Ray on my order and he was a huge help. Thanks Ray!!!

Ill update this thread with my first impressions once i receive it, and a review once i finally get to use it :)

Cheers!

Nice purchase. I keep saying im going to get a flex, but never pull the trigger. My PC will do for now, when i get a new machine, ill probably just get a nice rotary to play with.

My buddy has the PC and he like it a lot. I told him i just bought the 3401 and i thought he was going to hit me. He has been talking about buying that for the longest time. I beat him to it. So excited. Im sure it will save me lot more time compared to doing everything by hand.

I cant blame your buddy, im jealous also :) Congrats

Well I got everything except the handle on the flex is broken. I left them a voicemail, and hopefully they can have the new one here soon because I have a detail scheduled for Saturday and really need this. Hopefully this gets resolved fast and easy. Kind of disappointed for my first purchase with autogeek :'(

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using AG Online

that sucks about the flex handle. im sure they will take care of it as best they can. As always, AG customer service is second to none.

Congrats on the flex. I just tried one on sunday and will defiantly be getting one soon.

Congratulations you've bought the best DA polisher.

They are sending me a new handle. Should be here Friday, just in time for my detail on Saturday :)

So i finally got to use my Flex 3401....and i think my forearms doubled in size.....wow am i sore! Anywho, My 2011 Nitro has....excuse me HAD, a bunch of swirls because the dealer went ahead and cleaned it when i told them not to. So I started with the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover with an Orange CCS pad. the first couple of sections took some getting used to, after a short time I got used to the machine and how it worked. After watching Mikes video's over and over and over, I had no problem picking up the proper technique. After the first few panels i felt like i had worked with machine for years. It was sooo easy to get used to. I am extremely impressed with the results, however, it took me longer than expected. It took about 13 hours from start to finish. That includes wash, dry, clay, tape, swirl remover and finishing glaze. I didn't have enough time that weekend to apply the paint sealant. From the looks of my paint it seems it doesn't even need it, but this Saturday ill be applying the wax. The truck has been sitting in the garage all week under a sheet so dust doesn't get all over it till i can wax it.

Only gripes i have is, man it throws around a lot of dust. Is this normal? Also, what are some ways that i can speed up the process? 13 hours to only get done with the second step is a little much. I'm sure i can probably speed something up. any feed back would be helpful. Other than that, i couldn't be more pleased with the results. It looks better than when i drove it off the lot....minus the rock chips on the front bumper. Most minor scratches are gone completely, others that were in the plastic front pumper are completely flush with the rest of the paint. Its at the point where a little touch-up paint will make the whole thing disappear. All smudges and swirls are completely gone and the deep metallic black is just gleaming in the sun!

How often would i need to do the swirl removal? Can i us the glaze then wax when i don't do the swirl removal. I am assuming i only need to do the swirl removal if i see swirls.

Anyways, I wont make this any longer. Thanks to everyone for answering my questions and Thank you Mike for all of the great video's. Made the process of learning to use a DA Polisher really easy for me.

cheers everyone! :buffing::buffing::buffing:
