Just ordered my Flex

Well, after a year of hanging out here and doing my
polishing and waxing by hand it's time to get serious.
My vehicles need some correction and it's not going
to happen by hand.

Today I ordered the Flex 1000 kit. I have Megs deep crystal
soap, 3m Perfect-It II compound and Menz FP. Next month
I will order some DP soap, Menz SIP, sealant and carnuba wax.

Hoping the get the stuff by this weekend as I have a 4 day weekend.
Will keep all updated. Thank you everyone for all of the info on this board.
 
You won't be disappointed! I recently got a Flex as well, with no prior machine buffing experience I have been able too achieve some amazing results with 3M compound, Menzerna IP and FPII.

Good Luck with yor purchase as you are well on your way to a fabulous finish. It is really a great machine.
 
Well, with two black vehicles that have been neglected
over the years, I am going to need all the help I can
get. It is supposed to arrive on Friday. Let the games
begin.
 
When you get your Flex take the back plate off and oil the felt ring. When I was at the show last month, the rep. for Flex, advised this.

All purpose or machine oil. You can get it at hardware stores in small cans.
 
received the flex an hour ago. Can't wait to
use it tomorrow. Have to wait because the
car is dirty and couldn't wash it due to rain.

I took the backing plate off and don't see
a felt ring. Unless you mean the toothed
gear ring on the machine.
Please help.

One more thing. The kit I ordered says that it came
with a LC gray pad instead the one I received is black
and says black on the packaging. Are they one in the
same?

all are a must have tools on my list...thinking of adding CR Spotless to it as well...
 
The felt ring is on the Flex, not on the backing plate. And the black pad is the gray pad if I am not mistaken. Enjoy the Flexing.:buffing:
 
I figured it was inside the flex, but where? I removed
the backing plate and looked inside the flex and I don't
see a felt ring.
 
Never mind, I found it. I was looking inside the housing.:buffing:
