I havent had clear weather and warm temps to wash my Black Prius, so this last weekend I got the time and weather perfect. I soaked the car with CG Citrus and shine, several rinses and a wash with CGCS a good clean mitt. Rinse and dry with the waffle towels. going great till I look at the towel, full of dirt! The car looked very clean before drying and no signs of another layer of dirt and grime. sucks, now it becomes time to get the power tools out and do a complete polish out. Oh well it has been a year...

Yeah thats always a bummer. Had the same thing on my blue silverado and noticed a few light scratches on the hood. Time to do the magic to it.

That's odd... what was on the paint? It should have been washed off with the presoak and regular two bucket method.

:dunno:I'm not sure I've ever experienced anything like that before. I have washed my truck twice when it was extra salty, but It probably wasn't necessary. Definately never had visible "dirt" on my waffle weave before.

One big issue was the fact I was down to the bare minimum of protection, I knew it needed a complete once over for seal and polish and the works. But time got away from me and no washing for 2 months. it is what it is.
