Borophene Formulation

While "graphene," a next-generation nanomaterial, is a carbon-based nanomaterial formed into a honeycomb sheet, "borophene" is a metal-based nanomaterial structured in a near-honeycomb arrangement of boron, not carbon. Compared to graphene, its metallic properties give it even higher conductivity and flexibility. It's gaining attention as a novel material for Tesla battery components and various nano-industries, with only seven companies worldwide capable of manufacturing it.

We collaborated with a factory specializing in water and solvent dispersion and achieved stable dispersion of borophene, surpassing carbon-based nanomaterials in our tests. This led to its adoption due to the resulting anti-static properties and improved surface lubricity.

In addition to borophene, we've included multiple nanomaterials, including boron nitride.

I can't keep up with Kamikaze anymore. They do a lot of variants on their products. I think I'm still back somewhere in Overcoat 4 liquid with a 5.x behind it. I ended up skipping on Overcoat 5 sealant (sitting unopened in my collection) and going right to the new 6 sealant not long ago.

I love their line and think the products all do a great job but this is truly their Japanese culture showing... iterate, iterate again, iterate one more time, then iterate again.

They’re pretty big on Kaizen Theory for sure.

“The definition of Kaizen includes the idea that small, incremental changes and adjustments in working methods or processes lead to increased efficiency, improved quality and reduced waste. This is usually done through the active participation of all employees in a company or organization, regardless of their position.”

Downside (for me) is every new release means new testing, new labels/bottles/sprayers, new product photography, new product descriptions & other logistical inconveniences 🤪

Still, always fun to unpack a Kamikaze shipment as they usually include a couple of surprises…often including some local candy packages. Some of the candy is a bit, uh…unusual but the Japanese Kit-Kat bars were quite tasty! Often they use packages of their newest towels as packing material, much preferred to those who use those infernal packing peanuts 😕

I should have posted a disclaimer: after 6yrs employed by a Japanese company and forcefully embracing Kaizen, my view might be distorted.

Their product must be 💩 if they have to keep adjusting it is my take
My coating (that is not for sale thank you) has only been modified once in 10 years
