Hey guys, this is my official intro post. I've posted some pics in the Show N Shine thread, but this is my real introduction. I just do this as a hobby, and have only been serious about it since buying my Equinox last april. Its black, and I didnt want it to end up like just about every other black car on the road. I originally just wanted some of the stuff that they use at the drive through car washes (tire dressing, towels, etc.) but then I stumbled onto Autogeek, Detailed Image, Autopia, and others. This site is by far the most informative and knowledgeable.
As my wife can confirm, it has become an obsession of mine, this whole detailing thing. Sadly, I've spent enough at one of the above sites to get wholesale pricing. Not sure how I feel about that yet.
Right now, I use both of the Griot's polishers, and mainly Meguiars polishes (105, D300, and D301). I have a few Menzerna polishes that I haven't had a lot of opportunity to test. I just ordered some CQuartz for my car, since the new paint it received after hail damage repairs seems EXTRA soft.
