Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, I don't have a garage to store my car in because my fiance's car is already in there. I just my first brand new car and I want to do my best to keep it in tip-top shape.

Do you guys have any suggestions on products that will keep the vinyl/cloth seats and the dashboard from cracking and fading?

If you have leather seats, make sure to always condition them after cleaning. You also want some UV protection dressings like aero 303. I like to use chemical guys new car shine. Hope that helps :)

Sent from my Nexus 4 using AG Online

My opinion is that as long as your keep everything coated with a decent product, you will be fine. Most, if not all, of the products on AG are pretty good and will keep you well protected. Some you might need to apply less frequently than others, but most of the time, it boils down to personal preference on things like the finished look (glossiness) and the consistency of product (spray or gel). AG doesn't sell crap.

I had a Tahoe for 11 years and 209k miles and there was not a single crack in the dash or the leather seats. I took care of the truck and that was before I found this site, so you really don't have to know what you are doing, as long as you are doing something (except for paint care :) ).

If you have leather seats then use a product like leather masters to clean and protect them as for dash another vote on 303 and chemical guys new car shine both has UV protection in it also get some sun shades for the windows

If it is legal in your state, and you don't have such yet, do consider window tinting all side windows, and back window.

For the Windshield, buy a cheapie shade, and get in the habit of using it. This will cut down on a lot of UV into the cabin. I often will buy a larger shade if need be, then custom cut it to the windshield the best I can.

Unless you are into tinting, I would suggest a covercraft sun shade. They custom fit your car and durable. You can use a protectant regularly.

I recommend 303 as well. I just got a new car but my old one was parked outside for 12yrs. I used 303 aerospace protectant on it and honestly the dash looked like new last time I applied it. Dark gray/black interior, so it got hot. The car spend several years in FL as well. Aside from 303, I only have experience with other products like armorall that were never really any good.
