Good thing it rained today and the temp did not get too high. The A/C at home is not working  The unit outside is running but no airflow inside. I'm a dunce when it comes to A/C so we have to wait until tomorrow for a repair person. AARGH!

Well, it could be way worse. It is merely warm in the house and not boiling hot like it would be next month.

I love warm weather. I'm in south Florida and we don't have our AC on. Just a nice cool breeze off the water.

Glad it wasn't too hot for you today. And you will be getting it fixed tomorrow.

I had to work in full sun, and I think it was high 80's on 2 black cars and a light color one.
And no air conditioning:D

I have to go up to Michigan in July. The last time I went up there in June I got frost bite. :( Well not quite frost bite but it was cold. Let's just say I don't miss it much Joe. In the summer the Gulf of Mexico gets up to about 90. It's a little warmer then Lake Michigan.

Sounds like the blower fan is out.

I'm not an AC expert but I do know this. A central AC system is composed of 2 units. The condenser and the air handler. The condenser sets outside and needs air circulation to cool off. It has a fan and radiator with coils. The air handler usually sits up in your attic. It has the fan that blows the cold air into your ducts. Both units will be on separate circuit brakers so if you air handler is not working and your condensor is, you might want to check the circuit braker for the air handler. Usually the condensor will go bad before the air handler. The most common AC System problem is that system needs to be recharged with coolant. The only other hardware that enters into the equation is the termostat which controls turning the condensor and air handler on and off. It could also be the problem.

usually the fan or compressor as noted, especially if you can hear the air-handler in home running. I highly suggest Trane if replacement is necessary. One note, no air = Holiday Inn. Its worth the 100.00 to get a nice nights rest and stay cool, trust me !!

We have a Carrier Infinity system, love it in FL lol. Gary's nutz to want it warm:D. Agree with Scott, no air = hotel or crash at friends house. Especially after 04/05 Hurricanes, going 3 weeks in 90 degree heat with no air...oh yeh, lot of fun. Now we have a generator that powers the whole house with a/c, electricity etc, well worth the $ for the comfort.

$15,000 generator ain't gonna help if the a/c craps out;)

Move up north :p My house has 3 seperate AC systems. You can close off the house into 3 different parts. I'm currently not running any AC but I probably will do so soon only because of my wife. Our house is very cool when you open it all up. Having the house open is the way I like it.

After hurricane Charlie we were without power for 6 days. No problem we just partied with our neighbors and stayed cool in the pool. We all had lots of food in our freezer and just keep cooking all kinds of food on our gas grills. On the 6th day I purchased a large generator. When my wife and I got home with it our power was back on. The generator is still in the box.

hell no, I'll put up with no air and lots of heat any day over miserable weather and cold.:D

I do have a Trane.Turns out the motor in the air handler unit is broken. A new part was found today and tomorrow it will be installed.

Last night was not bad at all. Tonight is a lot warmer, but bearable.
