I've been in the same boat for quite a while.
Rather than loss of top coat, I prefer to think of it as a convertible with the top down. Continuously. :)
 
There's a cure for baldness coming in 2 yrs they said.....seriously, so let's figure out our haircuts before hand so we're ready for our new look, LOL!

For the on-topic portion of my post ... You didn't experience any difficulty with 111 bonding on top of any remnants from the Speed Shine?

No issues what so ever with the #111 over speed shine. Yeah, I'm bald and have excepted my fate in life. I usually shave my head once a week.

No offense intended, Derek. I was commenting on Klasse's tossing you under the bus. My apologies if my post bothered you, or Klasse. Since I started losing the top cover in college, I'll bet I've been bald longer than both of you put together. Not sure I'd be able to recognize MYSELF with hair; I know nobody else would. I, too, have made my peace with the situation.

Thanks for the info on 111 and Speed Shine. I'm just now trying out the Duragloss products.

I was far from offended, no worries. I've been losing my top coat for about 16 years now. I've been shaving it all off for about 3 years. :-)

Well Derek and I have been friends for over 20 yrs now and myself and the g/f planned on coming into town, I just thought we'd try some DG #111 w/PBA on his car. I know Derek wanted to take an outside pic to show the cure look over 24 hrs but he was pretty busy I bet and I know it rained there today, I'm sure it was beading really well too.

Hey Derek, did you spray AW ontop of that fresh #11 w/PBA on Monday afternoon/evening?

Never got a chance Monday, I did put some AW on the Journey though. Rained here all morning Tuesday and on/off all day today as well. Car will be stored away in my garage for 2 weeks while I do my Guard stuff..... Car really popped after 111 went on.... B-)

Hey Derek, maybe put a coat of BFWD on the car and let it sit on there for the 2 weeks while your "playing Army".........hmmmm!
