Klasse AIO on headligts???

Has anyone tried using Klasse AIO on headlight lenses?

Due to some forum member suggestions on some a water spot problem I was having on windows I tried putting Klasse AIO on my van windows. It seems like it left a nice protection layer on the glass and I was thinking it might do the same on headlight lenses. I'm sure we have all seen what the lenses can look like after a while. There are some nice products on the market to buff them back out but I like to all I can to prevent unwanted things from happening in the first place. Some of the new lights can really be expensive if you purchase new ones.

If anyone has any experience, comments, or sugguestions on the topic I would very much appreciate hearing from you.

I never used AIO on headlight lenses, and probably never will. When you were talking bout windows - you were taliking about glass. This is plastic.

I use AIO on my whole front end since it's a monotone bumper to match the body cladding, chrome grill etc. Water just beads right off and bugs don't really stick, and the ones that do wipe off easily. If your looking to clear up your lights, shop I go to for custom exhaust on our vehicles, he was showing some product. I think it was Meguires Plastic-X or something like that? This stuff was great, he put some on a towel and just started rubbing some cars headlight that had bad hazzing/cloudiness, and it started clearing it right back up. Now if the lights are really bad it still won't look perfect but better then nothing, you could always buy the casing online and install new lights. I cracked mine once when removing my grill (didn't realize there was an extra screw on the back, stupid Ford engineer lol), Ford/Mercury wanted over $500 for a new light assembly, searched on Froogle and got a new casing for 40 or 50 bucks LOL. But was a pain to install, had to have the dealer install it as again some bright Ford engineer decided to put some seperate screw that held the assembly at an angle you couldn't reach and it was some weird hex design I never saw before.

What about the heat that the headlights produce? Would there any problem with applying the AIO.
 
I have tints on my headlights that do a great job of protecting the lens from damage. I have already had my daughters handlebars from her bike run across the lens and the tint saved the lens from damage.

Yeh that's what it was called, my exhaust shop guy uses it on any vehicle that comes in that has hazy lights kinda like a thank you to the customer. He showed me what it could do just using a rag with PlastX and rubbing a headlight, great product. If you have 4" pads I would choose this over any other , should work great on lights with that combo (PC and PlastX) considering what it does just rubbing with a towel.
 
I was not sure about putting AIO on plastic this is why I thought I would ask all of our great forum members. Thanks for everyones input and suggestions.

Just once again, I wouldn't use AIO on plastick surfaces, especially as expensive as headlights/taillights.

Click on shop by products,click on klasse products.They provide an application manual,its the first icon.It says O.K. for headlights.Hope this helps:awesome:
 
I shoud say I don't really polish the lights with AIO, I just put a light coating on. Keeps bugs and crap from sticking. Never had any trouble with it, but like Supercharged said if you have some cloudiness grab Megs PlasticX, that stuff can work miracles on headlights and other faded plastics.
 
AIO works great with headlights as far as protection. In the pass I work my off trying to get the yellow off the headlights with AIO, it work. Now I have Wolfgang! No more working my any more.

I was just thinking that the Wolfgang Headlight Cleaner stuff might work on the water spots on windows problem I had instead of swirl remover. I know it's for plastic but I think it might work. I used a similar product on the headlights of a car a got ride of about a year ago. The headlights looked really bad but after a couple hours of work they looked almost new.

With the Wolfgang it takes about 10 to 20 minutes to do both headlights.
 
I have used AIO on some badly discolored headlights before and like Sparkie said, you have to work pretty hard but it will clean them up pretty nicely.

I recently picke up some PlastX from Meguiar's and it works much quicker and gets the lenses smoother than I was able to get them with AIO. I then followed up with a coat of AIO for protection, not sure if it was needed but I figured it wouldn't hurt.

The PlastX is sold here at AutoGeek.

I agree - Megs PlastX is not bad at all! Use that and the Wolfgang headlight stuff from AG - preventive maintenance on those not yet in need of care!! Covers them all this way!!
 
As of now all my headlights are in good condition. I am just looking for something to help keep them that way. I ment to order some Plexus yesterday before the 20% deal ran out but I got busy putting another coat of Liquid Souveran on my wife's car then went to a party last night. Yesterday started a new week so I think it was ok to place another AG order. I don't want to go over 1 per week. I feel pretty good this morning so I must not have drank to much last night. I hope everyone had a great New Years.
 
Personally, I don't see a problem uising AIO on the headlights for protection. I understand using something else to restore yellowed lens', but for protection AIO should be all you need.
