Klasse SG

How many sprays do you do for each panel? And also, do you wipe it down or spread it after spraying? Thanks Scott

average is two sprays per panel, slightly more on hood and tops.

With U.P.P. i let it haze or dry for 1/2 hour them W.O.....with S.G. thats not recommended??

i dont like finicky, but if the final apperance is nicer than U.P.P.?? Then i'll learn to like finicky:p

UPP is much glossier and better looking Bill, but SG has it beat in durability. The Klasse combo is actually quite sterile in look, needs Sonus Acrylic Spritz or something with some gloss to liven it up. Darn near bulletproof for several months.

Thanks killr...... do you think the 3M hand glaze will be any improvement as far as gloss over U.P.P.

I personally like the UPP and UPP Gloss Enhancing Spray as a combo. Topped with Souveran is likely as wet and glossy as its gonna get.

Very well said Joe!

I have been using te AIO+SG for a while, i applied AIOx1 and then the SG, waited for 30 minutes and WO. Wait for 24 hours and applied a second layer, and then a third layer. 24 hours later i applied a Nattys blue layer over a "magic black" car. I like how it looks on the hood an some parts of the car, but i still dont like the swirl marks and sometimes i see an opaque finish. along the doors. I think i have to repolish the paint...

I feel your pain [ugly swirls]..........those swirls will stay till you machine them out.........with out a buffer or P.C its a problem for heavy swirls.....

bet the car looks nice anyway....:applause:

How bad are the swirls? A glaze might be able to fill them in and reduce their visibility.

That it not clear for me, AFAIK the Klasse SG is a "sealant" "glaze", shouldnt it fill the swirls?

YES it is a glaze, as far as filling swirls??? not sure about S.G.

found this from another forum QUOTE:

IMO the Klasse stuff is great, but if your car has swirls and scratches Klasse will make them stand out even worse. They're best on a properly polished & prepared surface - they shine like a mofo, and any metallic in your paint will jump right out. They've also got a reputation for being a bit tempermental to use (especially the last-step Sealant Glaze) and both eShine and Autopia have detailed 'how-to' guides on their use. I've only ever had minor 'streaking' with SG, and it disappeared after the next wash.

Thanks Bill

I think i will work harder trying to remove the swirls then, they are not really that bad, i have to look for them at specific light angles to catch them.

Listen, don't get crazy over swirls, i bust my a-- on my car and it looks great, but still have minor swirls that can come from anywhere, a piece of sand in a M.F. towel is disastruous....... enjoy your ride, be proud of how beautiful it looks, and look at it at angles where the swirls don't show, and then see the labor you put into getting that gloss you worked so hard for.........;)

c´mon Bill!!!
this detailing adventure is crazy itself! :awesome:
but i get your point, just one more try and thats it for my swirls

If you are a perfectionist, detailing will probably cause your death. You don't always have to settle, but be willing to work hard, and be frustrated! Also, drink lots of fluids, it is HOT!!

:applause: :applause: Thats correct, i better start drinking 3 coronas before each Souveran layer, thats makes a total of 9.

Back from the dead, I am about to polish my car tomorrow and the next day I will use klasse SG. I want a bit more clairification on the application process. Do I put the SG in a spritz bottle, hit each fender about 2 sprays then "smear" around with a finish pad on a PC or by hand with an applicator pad or a microfiber? Then let haze then buff off? Is this correct, I want to have the proper coverage on the car thanks!
