KNEE PADS..... $150 dollar budget please advise, help, opinions.

Try a thrift store. I got a nice pair of flexible, silicone molded knee pads from a local thrift store for $5.00.

I used to use knee pads, but recently bought the racatac kneeling roller. It is the best. I wish Autogeek carried it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000...ng+creeper&dpPl=1&dpID=31nJ2cdGuhL&ref=plSrch

Thank you for the idea Engineerwolf! I actually have ordered my Racatac and received it yesterday!! It's put together and i plan to go knee surfing today!! Totally excited to keep my torn ACL knee happy and happy to add this knee protection to my arsenal... I plan to maybe buy a knee pad still or a pair of kneepads to strap to my knees to have more than 1 option. Thank you ALL again I appreciate the help and opinions!!

I have a couple stacks of these puzzle floor tiles in the shop and just grab a couple and throw them down when I'm going to be on my knees. One of the really nice things about them is I can stack them as high as I need to depending on the height of the vehicle I'm working on. I've had them 6 or 8 high before which raises me up 8-10 inches which can be helpful and the more there are in a stack, the more cushion there is on the knees. Even if I'm just kneeling on 2 stacked up, it's very comfy and relieves the strain/pain.

I'm an old guy with bad knees and bad back so I'm always looking for ways to save both from excessive pain and discomfort. I originally bought this kneeler/seat contraption to work in the garden but I have found that it works great as a seat and as a kneeler to save my knees.View attachment 61550

Pretty incredible value, less than $35 on Amazon. It came fully assembled, it is low-profile and stores under my shelving unit out of the way and is extremely lightweight, much lighter than my multiple roll-around seat dollies. I'm really impressed with this device for gardening and detailing, especially when I'm polishing the low parts or cleaning wheels.

The padded area is two-sided so you just invert it one way or the other and it becomes a kneeler or seat very easily.

Honestly I would look for a creeper seat. I feel one of these would suit you better and keep you off of your knees all together.
